Mvelopes Customer Ideas

Sweep: ability to sweep IN or OUT a specified amount instead of entire envelope.

When you are using the SWEEP function currently, you are only able to sweep in or sweep out the ENTIRE envelope. This function as it was available in MV4 allows you to type in a specified amount for sweeping out or sweeping in for each envelope. It prevents you from having to leave sweep and to do an individual funds transfer from one envelope to another.

This is the WORST version of the sweep feature of any version I have used in the last 10 years. Why would I want to be limited to only sweeping out the entire balance? Please fix!

It seems like you can't use the System Envelope 'Unallocated Money' for the sweep envelope. If you choose a regular envelope, it will let you enter the amounts manually instead of only the 'entire balance' ( and you don't get the black circle/slash).

You didn't need to assign a 'sweep envelope' before; it automatically did it before; very strange. I don't know why you'd want to use a regular envelope for the sweeps.

I would like to set a minimum balance for each envelope. If the envelope is above that amount, then sweep the excess.

Let's say that the haircut envelope's maximum spend for a month is $100. Let's say we have not gone to get haircuts for a while and the envelope now has $300. I would like to set the minimum balance for the envelope to be $100. Sweep transfers $200 out of the envelope and leaves $100. Then, if my family goes to get haircuts, I will have the $100 I need.

The same could be done for my car repair envelope but the minimum balance would be $2000 just in case something major goes wrong.
