Mv4 showed the notes in the exported transaction view, this was helpful for referring to what was spent or deposited and why. Especially helpful for tax purposes
It seems the developers thought TAGS would be just as good as they are included. I can find two issues with this: (1) tags are not associated with individual split transactions. In fact, if a tag is added, it appears to be lost. (2) All my years of notes are not exportable. Please add notes as an option!

I'm equally upset as the others in this thread of comments. I have 13 years of data in Mvelopes. and this removal from MV4 to MV5 has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've seen. It also has me considering dropping Mvelopes altogether. Just to be clear, the feature needs to be re-implemented in both register exports AS WELL AS the "Transactions Report", which seems to be the only way to get all registers together. (BTW the feature itself of generating a full export of all transactions across registers is blazing fast compared to what it used to be, so kudos on that.)

I have years of transactions where I entered detailed notes. I use the notes in many ways, and to exclude them from the export makes the notes almost worthless. Due to all the issues with mv5, I moved on to another budgeting program. However, I have a lifetime membership with Mvelopes, so I'd like to move back. To do so, I'll need to do a Partial Reset, which erases all past transactions. If I could export my past transactions with Notes, I could perform the reset. I need that history, so now I'm stuck only using Mvelopes for past reference. I won't switch back until the notes can be exported.

This is very important. In fact, essential. The absence of this feature has me on (yet another) search for an alternative.

The lack of the NOTES field in the exported transactions is really a show-stopper for me. It is a must have for the system to be worth using. I am considering changing to another product just because of this lack.

I was under the impression that notes were going to be exported. Just found out that they're not. Very upset about this! Notes are now useless. Mvelopes is basically useless for planning purposes now. Fix this please!!!

Yes......extremely important, especially now as the report features are limited. We now rely heavily on Exporting data and creating totals. Without the note field, it is near impossible to perform a thorough analysis of our spending.

Yes! I also store a LOT of details about transactions in the Notes field but when I export the data all that detail is gone, making the export worthless. Please add the notes data to export files.

YES! This is extremely important for tax purposes. I use mvelopes to track not only my personal expenses but expenses related to three seperate "businesses" that I run. Not having the notes to describe the transaction makes the export info completely worthless. If I ever get audited I will have to get screenshots off the app or the website to show what goes where...my worst nightmare.
