User could edit starting balance Account/Transaction Entry in Mvelopes 4. This appears to have been added special protections to prevent user from being able to edit starting balance Account/Transaction Entry in Mvelopes 5. User needs to be able to balance an Account Transfers entry from one account which would fund the newly opened account.
Current work-around is to create an adjustment transaction that removes the starting balance from Unallocated then can create other matching transaction for Account Transfers. The work-around is just uglier in my opinion! Not sure what it gained in Mvelopes 5 to prevent user from being able to edit the starting balance transaction.

Other workaround tried is to transfer between Unallocated Money and Account Transfers to take care of the unbalances. UX blocks the user from transferring between Unallocated Money to Account Transfers to take care of zeroing out the unbalances. This is quite frustrating! Guess it is back to the ugliness of creating an adjustment transaction.
Other possible workarounds appear to be blocked also. User cannot Undo the starting balance from Unallocated Money because UX is blocked from entering Debits in the Unallocated Money account.
